Bass Pickup Shadow Upright Bass Pickup
The SH 950 is a popular upright bass pickup. Four sensors produce a natural sound when either plucked or bowed. Pickup has two opposing sensors per side to accurately reproduce the sound of the string and body vibrations. Sensors mount between the wings and feet of the bridge. Absolutely unparalleled, deep bass sound!
Here's what the player's think.
Didi Beck (Boppin'B)
"With the SH 951 I have in any situation my sound totally under control!"
"At 14 I decided to become a musician after I went to the cinema. I was really impressed by the way Jimi Hendrix destroyed his guitar at "Wild Thing" and I thought: "I want to do it, too!". Today I play bass and I did not destroy any directly but in any case the Kick was there ", answers Didi to the question about the reason why he became a professional bass player.
Today Didi is not only one the most successful and most well-known upright bass players, but also Germany’s Rockabilly figurehead.
By 1983, Didi played with the band Pas de Bas at the Grand Prix d`Eurovision (European Song Contest). Since 1989 he released eight albums with his current band Boppin’B and played more than 3.500 (!) concerts.
Didi's opinion about the SH 951:
For many, many years, I played the SH 951 on almost all of my instruments. I was testing almost every pickup that is available on the market but none of them gave me such a powerful and loud tone like the SH 951 . Because I am playing with my band Boppin’B on big stages, it is important for me to get a powerful sound without having feedback problems. In the same way if we are playing smaller stages, where you are standing very close to your amp. But with the SH 951 I have my sound in any situation totally under control. Also in the studio I obtain an outstanding sound with a combination of the SH 951 and a high-quality large-diaphragm microphone. You can listen to this sound on our current production ' Bop around the pop '."
