SH 945 NFX is a professional violin pickup which provides absolute natural sound with 0 hum. The pickup is based on our new NFX-technology.

It mounts easily under the bridge and senses the vibrations of the bridge and the body. Control unit with volume and tone potentiometer mounts on violin side with chin rest type assembly. The control unit has input for pickup and standard 1/4" jack output, 3V cell battery (2032). Mounts easily and provides 1 year lifetime.

A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Chien played the piano, ukulele and recorder before finally settling on violin aat the age of ten. She received her undergraduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music. When Chien first heard the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall, it greatly inspired her to consider an orchestral career. However, Chien was also interested in contemporary music, so she went to graduate school at the California Institute of Arts, a college known for its artistic and interdesciplinary experimentation.

Chien began her professional career in Los Angeles, where she contributed to two Sony CDs and performed on the Grammy Award stage with artists as diverse as Aerosmith, Vince Gill and Luciano Pavarotti.

A principal second violin with the Oregon Symphony and member of the Oregon Symphony String Quartet, Chien has performed wit the Pacific Symphony, the Opera Pacific and has participated in the Grand Teton and Colorado Music Festivals. As a teacher she was a faculty member at the Community Music Center in Portland, and has been an occasional violin coach for the Portland Youth Philharmonic.

Joerg Widomser is one of the ten best violin jazz players worldwide. He has played first violin in the successful Modern String Quartet since 1983 and won the first prize at the international jazz violin competition in Stettin, Poland the same year.

His world know sold-out concerts - e.g. with John Blake and Claude Williams - were enthusiastically celebrated by the audience and the press. In 21 years, Joerg released 23 albums, was awarded several times for his extraordinary musical talent and is booked constantly for Radio- and TV-Shows.

Tim started playing the Mandolin at the age of 7, the Guitar at 10, and the Fiddle at the age of 12. From the beginning Tim was influenced by the bluegrass sounds of Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs, the western Swing of Bob Wills, the country sounds of Hank Williams and Ernest Tubb, to the Jazz of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt.

Shortly after beginning the Fiddle, Crouch began to enter Fiddle contests. During that period , he won the Arkansas State Fiddlers Championship 5 times, the National Fiddlers Championship 2 times , along with others.
