Violin Bow By Franz Winkler C.1950 Franz Winkler studied bow making in Markneukirchen from Franz Heinrich Winkler, his father.
He set up on his own in Markneukirchen in 1896, travelling later to America, where he worked in Philadelphia and Chicago. He returned to Europe in 1903, after a period spent in Paris he returned to Markneukirchen spending the rest of his life there. He also owned a restaurant 'Weidmannsruh' (Shepherds Rest) and also had a small farm
