Violin French C.1890

The one piece back of maple of faint medium curl running horizontally across the back . The ribs of similar curl, the pegbox and scroll of plain wood.

The one piece front of pine of medium grain in the bass broadening towards the treble flanks.

The varnish of an orange-brown colour on a yellow ground.
