Violin By George Edward Johnson C.1900

The two piece back of maple of strong medium curl slightly descending across the back from the joint. The ribs of similar curl, the pegbox and scroll of plain wood.

The two piece front of pine of medium grain in the centre broadening towards the flanks.

The varnish of an orange-red colour on a yellow ground.
