Violin German, Mittenwald. C.1890.

The one piece back of maple of medium curl running horizontally across back. The ribs of similar curl, the pegbox and scroll of plain wood.

The two piece front of pine of medium grain.

The varnish of a rich red-brown colour on a yellow ground.

The instrument is, however, offered in a fully restored condition and has been fully and professionally setup in our workshops. Any repairs have either been conducted by ourselves or fully inspected and the quality of the repair verified by our workshop. No further repairs are required.     Front: Bass f-hole wing crack running up frpm lower hole. Treble f-hole wing crack running up from lower hole, small crack running down from lower hole.

    Pegbox: Cheek patch to both sides between d and a pegholes.

    A written valuation for insurance purposes of £1,045 is included with this instrument
